Privacy
Updated 9 October 2026
This Privacy Notice explains how WiT Access collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you use witaccess.com, submit an enquiry, use our tools or request an introduction to a provider.
It should be read together with our Cookie Policy and Terms of Use.
Users outside the UK may have additional privacy rights under local law.
Who we are
WiT Access is operated by WiT Finance Group.
For the purposes of applicable data-protection law, the relevant legal entity responsible for the processing described in this notice is the data controller.
Information we collect
Information you provide
Depending on the form, this can include:
- your name and email address;
- a phone number, where a form asks for one and you choose to give it;
- country of residence, a destination country, and nationality where a form marks it as optional;
- a company name, where a business enquiry asks for it;
- the provider a form relates to, where the form is on a provider page;
- service interests, form selections, and a message;
- high-level preferences about a move, property, insurance, banking or provider comparison, such as a topic, a timeline or a published range.
General forms do not ask for a passport number, tax identification number, bank account number, payment-card number or password.
Technical information
WiT Access does not run its own analytics product, and it does not set analytics or advertising cookies. A hosting provider, and the email service used to deliver forms, may keep technical logs. Those logs can include an IP address, the time of a request, and the page or address requested.
Tool data
Information saved locally by a tool is not sent to WiT Access unless you separately submit it through a form.
How we collect information
We collect personal information when you:
- submit a contact, specialist, newsletter or provider-introduction form;
- email contact@witfinancegroup.com directly;
- use site search;
- use a tool that saves progress in this browser;
- choose to send a summary from a tool, such as the banking eligibility checker.
Leaving WiT Access for a provider’s website means that site collects information under its own practices. WiT Access does not add its own affiliate tracking parameters to those links.
Why we use personal information
We use personal information to:
- respond to enquiries and keep a record of that correspondence;
- handle a request for an introduction to a provider you have asked us to contact;
- operate the website, including search and forms;
- let tools keep progress on your device;
- reduce abuse, fraud and misuse of forms, including automated submissions;
- troubleshoot delivery problems and keep the site secure;
- send occasional updates where you have asked for them;
- comply with a legal obligation.
Lawful bases
Depending on the context, we may rely on one or more of the following lawful bases:
- your consent;
- taking steps at your request before entering into a potential arrangement;
- our legitimate interests in operating, securing and improving WiT Access and responding to enquiries;
- compliance with legal obligations.
Where we rely on legitimate interests, we consider whether those interests are balanced against your rights and interests.
You may have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests. If that right applies, we will consider the objection in accordance with applicable law.
If we rely on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that took place before consent was withdrawn.
Provider introductions
If you ask WiT Access to introduce you to a provider, we may share the information you submit with that selected provider or with an appropriate person involved in arranging the introduction.
We will only do this where the request or consent provided through the form supports that sharing. An introduction is not sent to every provider on the site, and the website does not pass the form to a provider automatically.
Once a provider receives your information, it will process that information under its own privacy notice and regulatory responsibilities.
Forms and email
When you submit certain forms, the information is transmitted through a transactional email service and delivered to the relevant WiT Access mailbox.
That mailbox is contact@witfinancegroup.com. Submissions are not saved in a separate database on this website.
We ask users not to send sensitive information that is not necessary for the enquiry.
Sensitive information
WiT Access is not designed to collect detailed medical records, passwords, payment-card data, passport documents, tax-identification numbers or other highly sensitive information through general enquiry forms.
Please do not submit sensitive information unless a form specifically requests it and explains why it is needed.
Some insurance tools include a high-level choice, such as whether a pre-existing condition would need to be discussed with an insurer. That choice is not a medical history. The tool asks you not to enter a diagnosis, and the answer stays in your browser unless you later submit it on a form.
Tools and local browser storage
Some WiT Access tools save information in your browser using local storage so that your progress can remain available on the same device. This includes calculators, checklists, planners, the residency day tracker, the international move checklist, insurance and banking needs tools, the provider shortlist builder, the provider comparison workspace and the comparison basket.
Unless otherwise stated, this information stays on your device and is not sent to WiT Access.
The banking eligibility checker is an exception only if you use its optional enquiry form. Until then, the answers stay in the browser. If you submit that form, the enquiry includes the residence, destination, account needs and balance band shown on the form.
Filters, shortlists and calculator results are research aids. They are not suitability decisions.
You can remove locally saved tool data by using the tool’s reset or clear controls, where they are shown, or by clearing browser storage for this site.
Site search
A search term is sent to this website so it can return matching pages. This application does not save search terms in its own database. A technical log kept by the hosting environment may include the address of the request, which can contain the search term.
Service providers
We may use third-party service providers to host, secure, operate or support WiT Access. These providers may process personal information on our behalf only as necessary to provide their services.
Form email is delivered using Postmark, a transactional email service. The site does not use a separate customer-relationship or mailing-list platform.
International transfers
Some service providers or recipients may process personal information outside the United Kingdom.
Where applicable, we take steps required by data-protection law to protect personal information transferred internationally, which may include recognised adequacy arrangements or appropriate contractual safeguards.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including responding to enquiries, managing follow-up, maintaining appropriate business records, complying with legal obligations and resolving disputes.
Different types of information may be retained for different periods.
We periodically review whether information still needs to be kept.
Information that stays in your browser remains there until you clear it. This website does not set a deletion date for that copy.
How we protect information
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure.
No internet service or method of electronic transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your data-protection rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to:
- access personal information;
- correct inaccurate information;
- request erasure;
- request restriction;
- object to certain processing;
- receive certain information in portable form;
- withdraw consent where consent is relied on.
These rights are not absolute and may apply differently depending on the circumstances.
You may have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests. If that right applies, we will consider the objection in accordance with applicable law.
If we rely on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that took place before consent was withdrawn.
Automated decision-making
WiT Access does not currently make solely automated decisions about users that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
Provider filters, shortlist builders, calculators and other tool outputs are not suitability assessments and do not decide whether a provider will accept you.
Children
WiT Access is intended for adults and is not designed for use by children.
We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children through the site.
Marketing communications
Submitting a general enquiry, or asking for a provider introduction, does not automatically subscribe you to marketing communications.
A separate updates form asks for an email address and an unticked choice: “I would like to receive occasional WiT Access updates.” If you tick that box and submit the form, the address is emailed to the WiT Access mailbox. It is not added to a separate mailing-list platform.
To ask us not to contact you about updates, email contact@witfinancegroup.com. There is no separate unsubscribe link because there is no separate mailing list.
Third-party websites
WiT Access links to provider and third-party websites. Those organisations are responsible for their own privacy practices.
This Privacy Notice does not apply to personal information collected directly by third parties after you leave WiT Access.
A provider’s own site may use cookies or tracking after you arrive there. That is not controlled by WiT Access.
Complaints
If you have concerns about how WiT Access handles personal information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve the issue.
You may also have the right to complain to the relevant data-protection authority.
In the United Kingdom, this is the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO): ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint. The ICO is not the regulator for every user outside the UK.

The latest version will be published on this page and the updated date shown at the top.
