What type of international health insurer is this?
A global private medical insurer available direct and through intermediaries. Plan names, benefits and issuing entities may differ depending on where you live.
Who it may suit
AXA – Global Healthcare may be relevant to international individuals, families and businesses.
Where can you receive treatment?
International and plan-specific. A worldwide plan that includes the USA and one that excludes it are different products. Regional or residence-specific variants have to be confirmed for the country you live in.
Hospital and daypatient cover
Inpatient and daypatient cover: Core. Hospital admission, surgery and daypatient treatment are the core of these plans. This page does not state a benefit limit.
Outpatient treatment
Outpatient: Available by plan. Doctors, diagnostics and specialists may sit in a module rather than in the hospital benefit. This page does not list a visit limit.
Maternity and newborn cover
Maternity: Available on relevant cover. Maternity can be optional, limited to a higher tier, or subject to a waiting period. This page does not publish a waiting period.
Dental and optical cover
Dental and vision: Available on relevant cover or options. Routine dental, major dental and optical benefits are separate questions inside that category.
Evacuation and repatriation
Evacuation and repatriation: Available depending on the product. Medical evacuation is a transfer to treatment. Medical repatriation is a return to a home or nominated country where the policy permits it. They are not the same benefit.
Deductibles, excesses and cost share
Excess options are available. A deductible or excess is paid before the insurer contributes. Co-insurance is a percentage you continue to pay. A copay is a fixed amount for a treatment. Not every plan uses all of these.
Pre-existing conditions and underwriting
Underwriting and policy terms apply. A condition may be accepted, excluded, loaded or otherwise treated. The outcome is individual. A marketing page is not the policy contract.
Do not compare premium until you understand whether the plans are offering comparable underwriting terms.
Provider networks and direct billing
AXA Select international provider network. Networks differ. Pre-authorisation may be required. Direct billing may not be available for every hospital or treatment, and reimbursement can still be the route.
Can the cover move with you?
International plans. Client residence rules apply. Tell the insurer if you change residence. The premium, the legal entity, the network and the benefits can change. A local compliant product may be required. Do not cancel existing cover until replacement cover is active.
How to buy
Purchase route: Direct and intermediary. A public intermediary or affiliate page does not mean WiT Access has an agreement with the insurer.
What changes the premium?
Pricing: Personalised quote. This page does not publish a premium.
